To whom it may concern.

My name is Tim Tortonese and I live with my partner Pippa Warner in Bussage, Stroud. We have two Cocker Spaniels Hamish who is 14 and a young 1 year old bitch called Peggie. I have often struggled to find anyone who I felt I could trust to look after my dogs if we went away. This was until I came across Will Barton. One of my very best friends mentioned him to me and said she had met him and that he was a charming chap and very impressionable and was a dog sitter. She had told him that Pippa and I were looking to try and find someone to dog and house sit for nearly three weeks. Will came over and met us and of course the two dogs and all got on like a house on fire. We were very quickly put at ease when we met him as he was such a natural with the dogs and seemed to have a sensible head on his shoulders.

We went on holiday and Will stayed in our house looking after the dogs for 17 days. The dogs were very happy with him and they went for at least two long walks a day. On our return the dogs were very happy to see us and when Will went home they were very sad. He had made a big impression on them. Will left our house spotless and he had washed all his bedding and left it on the line.

Pippa and I would not hesitate to recommend Will Barton as a dog minder/ house sitter. After all we trusted him with the security of our house and safe keeping of our two beautiful Cockers for 17 days.

Will looked after our black lab Coley and home while we were away for 10 days. Will is very personable, professional and also knowledgeable about dog health. He sent us pictures and videos of taking Coley for walks while we were away and left the house in a super tidy condition when we returned along with a happy Coley. Would definitely recommend. Gideon

Our Story

Will Barton lives in the Cotswolds and has worked with dogs most of his life. He began his career working with animals at dog kennels as a boy. He then went on to obtain a Degree in Animal Science which led him to a job at Cheltenham Animal Shelter.

Bitten by the travel bug and travelling around South East Asia, Will founded and ran a dog training, boarding, and day care facility - the first in Cambodia! His dog business, Good Dog filled a need in the country that Will identified on his travels.

Since returning home, Will is once more taking care of dogs through his pet sitting business, Cotswold Pet Sitting. He is relishing the opportunity to take care of dogs here again, including walking them in the Great British countryside, which he missed. (As written by Cotswold Life)
